Srinagar, April 10 (KNO): Two foreign militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed in an encounter with police and CRPF at Bishembar Nagar area of Srinagar, police said Sunday. Talking to reporters here, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that police while acting on a lead sealed the suspected house early this morning. “After closing in on the house where two militants were hiding, they lobbed a grenade and fired at the forces in which two policemen and a CRPF personnel sustained injuries,” the IGP said as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). He said that in the ensuing encounter, two “hardcore LeT militants” were killed. “Both are foreigners and their further identity is being ascertained. They were involved in a series of attacks, especially the one on April 4 in Srinagar in which one CRPF man was killed,” the IGP said. He said that legal action will be taken against the house owner where these two militants were hiding and the "property will be seized".
